The Story Of Life...

Life can seem ungrateful and not always kind...
Life can pull at your heartstrings and play with your mind...
Life can be blissful and happy and free...
Life can put beauty in the things that you see...
Life can place challenges right at your feet...
Life can make good of the hardships we meet...
Life can overwhelm you and make your head spin...
Life can reward those determined to win...
Life can be hurtful and not always fair...
Life can surround you with people who care...
Life clearly does offer its Up and its Downs...
Life's days can bring you both smiles and frowns...
Life teaches us to take the good with the bad...
Life is a mixture of happy and sad...

So...

Take the Life that you have and give it your best...
Think positive, be happy let God do the rest...
Take the challenges that life has laid at your feet...
Take pride and be thankful for each one you meet...
To yourself give forgiveness if you stumble and fall...
Take each day that is dealt you and give it your all...
Take the love that you're given and return it with care...
Have faith that when needed it will always be there...
Take time to find the beauty in the things that you see...
Take life's simple pleasures let them set your heart free...
The idea here is simply to even the score...
As you are met and faced with Life's Tug of War...

How to stay young?

Here are the rules to stay young :

1)Throw out non essential numbers,this includes age,weight,height.let the doctor worry about them.

2)Keep only cheerful freiends,grouches pull you down.

3)Keep learning. learn mmore about computers, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. Remember "An idle mind is a devils workshop"

4)Enjoy simple things.

5)Laugh often and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath, beleive me it helps.

6)When tears happen. Endure, grieve and move on. the only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. be ALIVE while you are alive.

7)Surround yourself with what you love,whether its family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies whatever. your home is your refuge.

8)Cherish your health. if it is good preserve it. if it is unstable, improve it.if it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9)Don't take guilty trips.Take a trip to the park, to the city, to a different country but NOT to where guilt is.

10)Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Last but not the least in fact the best. Always remember...

"Life is not measured by number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."

Push For Life!

A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared.

The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin.

The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So,this the man did, day after day.

For many years he toiled from sun up to sun down,his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock,pushing with all of his might.Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out,feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain.

Since the man was showing discouragement,the Adversary (Satan)decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind:"You have been pushing against that rock for a long time,and it hasn't moved."

Thus,he gave the man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure.
These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.

Satan said, "Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time,giving just the minimum effort;and that will be good
enough."

That's what the weary man planned to do,but decided to make it a matter of prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to the Lord.

"Lord," he said,“I have laboured long and hard in your service,putting all my strength to do that which you have asked.Yet,after all this time,I have not even budged that rock by half a millimetre.What is wrong?Why am I failing?”

The Lord responded compassionately,"My friend,when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted,I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done.”

“Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to
move it. Your task was to push.And now you come to Me with your strength spent,thinking that you have failed.But,is
that really so?”

“Look at yourself.Your arms are strong And muscled,your back sinewy and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have."

“True,you haven't moved the rock.But your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in My wisdom.That you have done.Now I,my friend,will move the rock.”

At times,when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants,when usually what God wants is just a simple obedience and faith in Him.

By all means,exercise the faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God who moves mountains.

When everything seems to go wrong ...just P.U.S.H.!

When the job gets you down... just P.U.S.H.!

When people don't react the way you think they should ...
just P.U.S.H!

When your money is "gone" and the bills are due ...
just P.U.S.H!

When people just don't understand you .... just P.U.S.H.!

P = Pray

U = Until

S = Something

H = Happens

Alok, remember the story you posted that tried to explain
why things look such a mess from our end
but from Heaven there can be seen a pattern?

Here's more from Aloksave's Archives}

Each year he sent her roses,
and the note would always say,
I love you even more this year,
than last year on this day.
My love for you will always grow,
with every passing year.

She knew this was the last time
that the roses would appear.
She thought, he ordered roses
in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know,
that he would pass away.

He always liked to do things early,
way before the time.
Then, if he got too busy,
everything would work out fine.

She trimmed the stems and
placed them in a very special vase.
Then, sat the vase beside
the portrait of his smiling face.

She would sit for hours,
In her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture,
and the roses sitting there.

A year went by, and it was
to live without her mate.
With loneliness and solitude,
that had become her fate.

Then, the very hour,
as on Valentines before,
The doorbell rang, and there
were roses sitting by her door.

She brought the roses in,
and then just looked at them in shock.
Then, went to get the telephone,
to call the florist shop.

The owner answered, and she asked him,
if he would explain,
Why would someone do this to her,
causing her such pain?

"I know your husband passed away,
more than a year ago,"
The owner said, "I knew you'd call,
and you would want to know.

The flowers you received today,
were paid for in advance.
Your husband always planned ahead,
he left nothing to chance.

There is a standing order,
that I have on file down here,
And he has paid, well in advance,
you'll get them every year.

There also is another thing,
that I think you should know,
He wrote a special little card...
he did this years ago.

Then, should ever I find out
that he's no longer here,
that's the card that should be sent
to you the following year."

She thanked him and hung up the phone,
her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking, as she slowly reached
To get the card.

Inside the card, she saw that
he had written her a note.
Then, as she stared in total silence,
this is what he wrote...

"Hello my love, I know it's been a year
since I've been gone.
I hope it hasn't been too hard
for you to overcome.

I know it must be lonely,
and the pain is very real.
Or if it was the other way,
I know how I would feel.

The love we shared made everything
so beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say,
you were the perfect wife.

You were my friend and lover,
you fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year,
but please try not to grieve.

I want you to be happy,
even when you shed your tears.
That is why the roses
will be sent to you for years.

When you get these roses,
think of all the happiness,
That we had together,
and how both of us were blessed.

I have always loved you
and I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on,
you have some living still.

Please...try to find happiness,
while living out your days.
I know it is not easy,
but I hope you find some ways.

The roses will come every year,
and they will only stop,
When your door's not answered,
when the florist stops to knock.

He will come five times that day,
in case you have gone out.
But after his last visit,
he will know without a doubt

To take the roses to the place,
where I've instructed him.
and place the roses where we are,
together once again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is one of my very favorites
Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.
Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that there really is
an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.
Hey its fine Junie..Actually, i was away for a lot of time(like 2 yrs)...just came back to the forum a few days ago..i usually end up with no time left after my job but these days i am cherishing the feeling to be here after so long..so kind of try to sneak in between times whenever i can...and its kind of tempting to talk to whoever is in there...shoutbox is good but very slow i prefer messengers more...they are very convenient..quick..Ann doesn't like them much though...i got wuffy added up but haven't had a chance to be on at same times...just saw u in there and kind of pestered you with too much talk my apologies about it.
Also, thanks for the nice comment.Don't go by Ann's words though, she is a dear...what can i say...she always is too nice to me and holds me high on a pedestal...i surely don't deserve to be there though..
