Dog Whisperer is looking for new and exciting stories for the series. If you would like to be considered for the show, we require a five to seven minute video for all of our applicants.

In the video, we would like you to introduce yourself and your dog. Give us your name, age, and occupation, as well as the dog’s name, age, and breed. Tell us the problems your dog is having and how these issues are affecting your life.
Also, let us know what you love about your dog. We would like you to capture at least three instances of your dog’s bad behavior. Please do not put yourself or your dog in danger while trying to film the behavior.
There’s still time to submit your video! We’re looking for a wide variety of dog problems, including unusual phobias, obsessions, fearful behavior, aggression, horse-related issues, or any other unique situations that Cesar could help transform.
Dog Whisperer is currently only taking submissions from the following areas:
Southern California.
ATTENTION SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA: Meet the Producers of Dog Whisperer Sheila Emery and Kay Sumner! Be prepared to describe your dog's problem behavior. Dogs are welcome, but your dog does not need to attend to be considered. A video of your dog's behavior must be submitted to be chosen for the show. We would be happy to view video footage of aggressive dogs, but for safety reasons, we ask that you leave them at home.

When making the video:
* Please try to keep the cameras as still as possible.
* Avoid having the date and time on the screen.
* Don’t zoom in too close to the dog; we want to see as much of the environment as possible.
* Avoid backlighting on subjects around doors and windows.
We will accept all formats. If you record on a video, do not worry about transferring it to a DVD. The source tape will work just fine! Video files from digital still cameras and cell phones are not accepted. We are unable to return video tapes; if you would like to keep the footage, please make a copy for yourself.
Please note, we will NOT consider your story for Dog Whisperer if you post your submission tape on the Internet on a website like Google Videos, YouTube, Myspace, or Friendster.
Fill out the release forms:
When sending in your video, you must include the bio sheet and release forms (personal release and materials release), available for download here. Everyone seen in the video must sign a personal release. You can download the forms from the following links below:
