wow, what a trip to finally see you!
You've got big eyes.
You seem rather light skinned, I thought you'd be darker.
you are Arab and ... ?

I have not taken any photos of me since that passport photo last year.
I look so washed out! I don't want to be remembered that way.

Is your G.F. back over there with you now?

not all arabs are dark skinned, this is just a stereotype.
i am just arab, no and. the skin color is made by origin not nationality or religion.
mine is somewhere in the north of israel (then palastine) and lebanon.
other (mostly muslims) are from the south.
in the south its hot with little to no clouds in the sky, thus the skin color, north is cooler.

no my GF is still in MI, but she's coming for a visit in the summer.

even if you post an older photo of yourself that will be nice too.

you look tall! & she has a warm smile

I sent you the only pictures of me that are in the computer.
I don't feel very "photogenic" lately

I'm a "Mixed-Breed"
My Biological father is 1/2 Irish 1/2 Portuguese
and my Biological Mother is French, English, Irish, German and Swedesh

My Grandfather [from the pix I've seen] looks light skinned.
I'm told he left Portugal as a young boy and "never looked back"

Not knowing my heritage for most of my life, I donn't trip too much on what "mix" someone is.
What I don't like is people who "lead with their pedegree" {they make sure to let it be known.
same with religion, I don't trust it when a person sticks it out there like this one gal did: "I'm a New York Jew!" {she said it like it's a "crown" and that bothered me

How tall R U? I'm short :naka: 5' 2"

You should have that'd be worth it to see his face!
He thought he was 'reading your beads" eh?
I don't know what makes some people be so arrogant, think they Know All about someone else
they draw conclusions attach labels and "put you in a box"

It is confusing to me when a religion is also a blood line.
I grew up thinking our religion is a choice.

"I grew up thinking our religion is a choice."
i wish this is true.
sadly religion in 99% of case is just like parents, you dont get to choose them.
its like skin color. only some change that (*cough* Jackson *cough*)

What is stopping an adult from chosing another religion?
If the family doesn't like it, too bad.

that 'jackson', recently all his shit got sold off. He must be broke.

when people are born here with certain religion they get also fed with hatred towards the other religions
he will never in his life look in an objective way towards other religions.
he will never consider to convert to other religion seriously , ever!
... well 99% at least

that's interesting. why is it that parental brainwashing "takes" over there?
Parents and society sure try to tell us what to think but who doesn't question that at some stage in life?

edited June 25th An after thought}

when parents [or anyone] tells us stuff and we later find some or all of it isn't true
it should cause us reject or at least question everything else they ever told us.

people who are full of hatred!
i have met a lot of people who really hate others just because they are muslims, christians, jews, vote for this or that political party .. etc.. etc..

very sad indeed

It sounds like you are saying,
people who are taught to hate others do not question their parents

Parents and society can teach peace and a person can still be full of hate.
I think it's a teenager's duty to reject
all the stuff they've been taught that isn't working.
My argument is,
wether parents are pushing peace or predudice
just because parents/society try to push their ideals onto us
doesn't mean they are successful.

"My parents taught me to hate" {is a cheesey way to slither out of standing up for one's own beliefs.
