Love (me)?
#1
Love is like a ladder that helps you attain higher and higher levels of loving consciousness.

The idea of pure love should be nurtured. A girl and a boy’s world comes crashing down because their love is either rejected or ignored. As an individual you should remind yourself that your lover is only one aspect of that pure idea.

Your love encompasses so many others: your mother, father, sister and brother, for instance. They are all forms, all waves in the ocean of love. A human being has an enormous capacity to love, and he is capable of loving many people in his life.

In other words you should not restrict your love to only one person. Your lover is only a tiny expression of your capacity to love.

So don’t get depressed or think of ending your life just because a miniscule part of your huge potential called love is refused by your lover.

The tendency is that when you go through heartache in love, you vow never to love again. This is a huge mistake; it is a miscalculated step that can deprive you of experiencing pure love, ultimately.

Love is like a ladder that helps you attain higher and higher levels of loving consciousness. It could start with one person and end with totality.

Love is the beginning, God is the end. What a bargain — one just has to share and accept love to attain God or rather, to become one with God. Love is painful sometimes, because it is not real love.

Real love is when one does not expect anything from the person you love. Love wholeheartedly and don’t expect anything in return. There is bound to be disappointment and frustration if you lay down specifications for your love.

The selfish attitude that arises out of attachment is the root cause for love becoming painful — we never seem to be satiated with the return that the other offers.

Even if the journey of love is not smooth, go for it. If you don’t dive into the river of love, how will you reach the ocean? Life wouldn’t be a pilgrimage without the pain and suffering wrought by love.

Of course love is going to be painful but one would reach higher levels of consciousness with the help of it. Creativity reaches its zenith when in love. It is out of agony that ecstasy is born.

Love must be different for different people.
I see some who I swear don't know the feeling AT ALL!

Eda said, "you can't love anybody untill you love yourself" {that is proving to be correct.

I don't see anyone treating anyone else any better than they have learned to treat themself.
in fact,
I think it explains the failure of the golden rule: "do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

How many people do I know that take a gigantic shit right in the middle of their own life?
why should it surprise me if they do the same to me?

Do you have control over where your heart wishes to go? I know I don't!

I can't 'decide' to start or stop or choose what my heart attaches its self to.
I am glad of that because it precludes me having to use "judgements".
If I were to apply reason to the workings of my heart it would take away all the honesty from it and it would limit me to what I can imagine.

When I have felt love I let myself reach for it.
I won't be blaming myself for endings and good-byes.
The love that is the one I'd most like to repeat was an emotional one, not a physical one.

that ^ is a year before I reconnected with Karen
and it was Eda's birthday .. if she were still living..

Maybe you know, I reopened my heart to a woman I usd to be crazy about.
It was just like the post said, 'No thought to it, just instant chemistry"
till it went "kaboom"

I want to post this Hexagram I got today whe I asked the I Ching:
"what do I have to know or do to get the union, the love, the marriage?"
this is what it said:

1. Ch'ien / The Creative

above CH'IEN THE CREATIVE, HEAVEN
below CH'IEN THE CREATIVE, HEAVEN

The first hexagram is made up of six unbroken lines. These unbroken lines
stand for the primal power, which is light-giving, active, strong, and of the
spirit. The hexagram is consistently strong in character, and since it is
without weakness, its essence is power or energy. Its image is heaven. Its
energy is represented as unrestricted by any fixed conditions in space and is
therefore conceived of as motion. Time is regarded as the basis of this
motion. Thus the hexagram includes also the power of time and the power
of persisting in time, that is, duration.
The power represented by the hexagram is to be interpreted in a dual sense
in terms of its action on the universe and of its action on the world of men.
In relation to the universe, the hexagram expresses the strong, creative action
of the Deity. In relation to the human world, it denotes the creative action of
the holy man or sage, of the ruler or leader of men, who through his power
awakens and develops their higher nature.

THE JUDGMENT

THE CREATIVE works sublime success,
Furthering through perseverance.

According to the original meaning, the attributes [sublimity, potentiality of
success, power to further, perseverance] are paired. When an individual
draws this oracle, it means that success will come to him from the primal
depths of the universe and that everything depends upon his seeking his
happiness and that of others in one way only, that is, by perseverance in what
is right.
The specific meanings of the four attributes became the subject of
speculation at an early date. The Chinese word here rendered by "sublime"
means literally "head," "origin," "great." This is why Confucius says in
explaining it: "Great indeed is the generating power of the Creative; all beings
owe their beginning to it. This power permeates all heaven." For this
attribute inheres in the other three as well.
The beginning of all things lies still in the beyond in the form of ideas that
have yet to become real. But the Creative furthermore has power to lend
form to these archetypes of ideas. This is indicated in the word success, and
the process is represented by an image from nature: "The clouds pass and the
rain does its work, and all individual beings flow into their forms."
Applies to the human world, these attributes show the great man the way to
notable success: "Because he sees with great clarity and cause and effects, he
completes the six steps at the right time and mounts toward heaven on them
at the right time, as though on six dragons." The six steps are the six different
positions given in the hexagram, which are represented later by the dragon
symbol. Here it is shown that the way to success lies in apprehending and
giving actuality to the way of the universe [Tao], which, as a law running
through end and beginning, brings about all phenomena in time. Thus each
step attained forthwith becomes a preparation for the next. Time is no longer
a hindrance but the means of making actual what is potential.
The act of creation having found expression in the two attributes sublimity
and success, the work of conservation is shown to be a continuous
actualization and differentiation of form. This is expressed in the two terms
"furthering" (literally, "creating that which accords with the nature of a
given being") and "persevering" (literally, "correct and firm"). "The course of
the Creative alters and shapes beings until each attains its true, specific
nature, then it keeps them in conformity with the Great Harmony. Thus
does it show itself to further through perseverance."
In relation to the human sphere, this shows how the great man brings peace
and security to the world through his activity in creating order: "He towers
high above the multitude of beings, and all lands are united in peace."
Another line of speculation goes still further in separating the words
"sublime," "success," "furthering," "perseverance," and parallels them with
the four cardinal virtues in humanity. To sublimity, which, as the
fundamental principle, embraces all the other attributes, it links love. To the
attribute success are linked the morals, which regulate and organize
expressions of love and thereby make them successful. The attribute
furthering is correlated with justice, which creates the conditions in which
each receives that which accords with his being, that which is due him and
which constitutes his happiness. The attribute perseverance is correlated
with wisdom, which discerns the immutable laws of all that happens and can
therefore bring about enduring conditions. These speculations, already
broached in the commentary called Wên Yen , later formed the bridge
connecting the philosophy of the "five stages (elements) of change," as laid
down in the Book of History (Shu Ching) with the philosophy of the Book of
Changes, which is based solely on the polarity of positive and negative
principles. In the course of time this combination of the two systems of
thought opened the way for an increasingly intricate number symbolism.

THE IMAGE

The movement of heaven is full of power.
Thus the superior man makes himself strong and
untiring.

Since there is only one heaven, the doubling of the trigram Ch'ien, of which
heaven is the image, indicates the movement of heaven. One complete
revolution of heaven makes a day, and the repetition of the trigram means
that each day is followed by another. This creates the idea of time. Since it is
the same heaven moving with untiring power, there is also created the idea
of duration both in and beyond time, a movement that never stops nor
slackens, just as one day follows another in an unending course. This
duration in time is the image of the power inherent in the Creative.
With this image as a model, the sage learns how best to develop himself so
that his influence may endure. He must make himself strong in every way,
by consciously casting out all that is inferior and degrading. Thus he attains
that tirelessness which depends upon consciously limiting the fields of his
activity.

I guess I do feel like your post says}

I am left with so many emotions and no where for them to go!
taking a good dose of real clinical LSD always cleans out my cob webs, so I did it.
Things you thought were important aren't & things you want to think are not important really are.
What I concluded is, I need help with this.
The hexagram said I'd get help from "the primal depths of the Universe"
while I was peaking a letter came in}

I decided a few days before this, to try to ask God to take the painful thoughts and feelings from me, help me!
So when this came in, it was like a confirmation that is the right thing to do.

meanwhile, my tooth broke off and now I need a dentist!
I am a big baby!
I need someone to hold my hand!
I'm so tired of being the [only] strong one in my life!
I've had to be the one "where the buck stops" seems like forever!
Like putting the beloved dogs down and having to dig their graves.
Getting sick and having to crawl around to get to the b.r.,
no food in the house, too sick to get it {even the dogs lookd worried
I have to be the strong one for everyone and thre is no one there for me!

It gets to be too much = not worth it = too much pain for not enough pleasure.
That's where I am at now, have been for a while.
There is a song by Peggy Lee: "is that all there is?!
her line is "then let's keep dancing" {i am trying to but I am getting weaker and weaker w/o the "heart food" I need that to survive.

It's a week later and my headache is gone!
After my thoughts cleared, my neck finally popped and no more headaches!!!

This past week flew by!
I got a lot done, too.
My energy didn't get lost in worry, it went out in "prayer"

P.U.S.H. Pray Until Something Happens!

Seriously, why spin my wheels in thoughts that get no where?
I am turning it over to God to "heal me and my friends"

"help me to have the loving relationship I do deserve"
{ I know it is coming.
I'm not sure if I will have her in this lifetime but it makes little difference.
A love like hers is worth waiting for no matter how many lifetimes it takes.

the I Ching said, and I paraphrase}

the clouds and rain come & do their work;
all beings become who they need to be = Fear Not!
the 6 steps, like a ladder, will take you to heaven
You will ascend .."

The music is Alive and Well {literally .. that's one of B.B. King's best albums
the other [best album] is called: "Completely Well"
it's got: The Thrill is Gone, Crying Won't Help you and You Been Mean

{ those songs remind me so much of those pain-filled days with/without Eda!

I am sure no one that hasn't been through what I have [and made it] could survive our ms. karen

I refuse to live in my fears!
I like living in my dreams!!!
If you can conceive it and believe it you can achieve it

BELIEVE IN THE MAGIC OF YOUR DREAMS

lastly, in the B.of.L book #1 it says:
what you keep in your consciousness "exists on the astral plane for as long as you hold that thought and
if there isn't too much resistance IT WILL MANIFEST IN THE HERE AND NOW

so why should I live in my fears instead of my dreams?
that makes No sense!
I willfully "kick out" thoughts of things I do not wish to come into my life.
That is why you shouldn't think about things you do not want to happen.
for the time you are thinking them you are causing them to exist!
let it go!

I've found the way to have fun in spite of the fact my life is coming to a close.
At 56 I don't hold out any hopes of things getting better.
My tooth broken & there will be more of that kind of stuff, aging is inevitable.
I choose to follow the advice of Tony Robbins, take the "rocking chair test":
pretend you're in one and can't do shit anymore then
List the things you wish you did .. then Go do 'em!

I have been at this a few weeks with tremendously positive results!
My life is back on track.
there is a song by Rose Royce: "I'm in Love and I love the feeling"
Praying to stop my mind from thinking about things that give me pain
things I cannot solve
is giving me a feeling of relief and guess what?
a certain young woman is speaking to me again ... :2hearts: [attachment=375]

I am finding I must empty myself of all thoughts
that do not belong in the picture I see as my future.

sadly I have to leave some doors closed behind me
it is going to take all my concentration
to imagine the future I want to inherit!

I do not want contact with anyone right now
if it takes away from my present state of mind
which a.t.m. is bliss Confusedwinging: [attachment=376]
