K.C.& the Sunshine Band did an instrumental called Summer Madness
anyone got that song?
I haven't heardit in Years!

two songs I'd like to hear now:
Buffalo sprinfield "For What It's Worth"
&
Buddy Miles "Them Changes" {this onee might be on the album he did with Jimi Hendrix

anyone got the full length version of East/West by the Butterfield Blues band?

there used to be radio stations that played the entire song.
I remember when we heard Do What You Like by Cream for the first time.

now I got a new radio and there isn't shit worth listening to!

some new station up here is trying but they have to lean heavily on oldies to make it work.
I blame it on Crack! {the music is like that high. they are stuck in a 3 note loop

I played some of frank Zappa's Freak Out by Mothers of Invention.
He came really close to showing what it was like back when there was still real acid.

anyone know Country Joe & the Fish's "Grace" or "Masked Marauder" ?

I'm glad I was born when there was radio & records.
They are a deep source of pleasure for me.
When I move home I will be with all my collection.
everything from Jimmie Reed to Jimi Hendrix

"I'm with you my love .. when night turns a tired eye"
"I'll be with you soon ..
I'll be with you when the stars start falling" { Sunshine of Your Love by Fresh Cream

You definitely come from a time when things were so fresh with that element of experimentation. A lot of great music came out of the 60's!

Radio has been garbage for years. All I listen to are low frequency stations that play nothing but obscure artists, or talk radio (mostly talk radio).

There's a lot of good music out there, but you really have to hunt for it to find it... or like in my case, know someone who already does that. I have a friend who is close to your age, and he's introduced me to a lot of great stuff from different decades. A lot of it great, and some almost unlistenable.

today I heard one of my all time favorite songs by a group called Maze
the song, sung by Frankie Beverly is called When I'm Alone

I don't know what happened to Maze.
I saw Frankie Beverly sing that song in 2001.
He was on a double billing with Patti LaBelle.

B.B.King is going to be there in just a few days.
If I go, I'll have to go by myself.
I LOVE BB King!
On the tape I just found are three of his really good ones:
These two go together} Crying Won't Help You/Ya Been Mean {that one is HOT!
If you can stay seated while it plays, you're deaf or dead!
The Thrill Is Gone is on this too.
I could listen to BB King for hours!
Sweet Lil Angel and "Little Bit of Love" {that's a hottie too

I want to get at my records but I must tape them as they are played
for that I need blank reel to reel tapes!!!!

Here comes one I'd forgotten about} "Slippin' Into Darkness" by War (1968)

TIME Has Come Today! {by the Chambers Brothers has your soul been psychadellisized?

I saw them do this live up in Tahoe back in summer of 68.
the album they did after it has some good ones Wade In The Water and Love Peace & Happiness

It you like those, go for Do What You Like by Blindfaith (formerly: Fresh Cream)
The Cream's first album was Disraeli Gears {it's all good but Sunshine of Your Love is so Hot!

My oldest daugher in law is the lead singer of an Alternative band out of LA. It's funny because theatre and Broadway are her first loves. She's AWESOME! I'm in love with her voice. She turns me on to alot of different bands and types of music that are new to me. She intro'd me to Blue October.
