it is just the noon hour and it is getting dark enough to be sunset!
The storm must be ready to rip!
Yestersay it began with a really strong wind, a pause, then the rain came.
I do not think it was that bad, I couldn't hear it from inside.
those really bad rains, I can hear the pounding of the water on the windows.
I like to go out on my bike in my polar fleece and goretex and ride in the rain.
It is so weird not to have a pane of glass between me and the rain!

One of the best fun days I had was in the rain at Golden Gate Park with Stewart.
WE went to the Great HIghway and back to the panhandle* (*Haight/Ashbury)
there was a hill of pure dirt that we rode up and over, defying the laws of gravity and sanity.
I slid on my ass so bad, down the dirt hill, I ground the dirt through the goretex and the polar fleece!
I had dirt in my drawers!
I had a streak up by back from the mud spinning off the rear wheel.
I didn't notice till I saw it on STewart, his mud trail was even on his head!
the trickle was coming down his forehead!
What would I give to repeat that day?!
My friend Stewart became a crack freak and a user of people.
He left in 87 for New Orleans, 10 years later he returned but he was no one I"d wnat to know.
"I'll come and stay with you if you pay my way thru life" NO THANK YOU!
His father ownns a big chunk of Telegraph Avenue right in the heart of Hippy-ville.
His brother owns a club that would have been stuarts,
had he worked t make it happen.
Now I hope he is still alive, not another casualty of the flooding of New Orleans for the french quarter was where he'd been staying.
